Girlguiding

We Discover, We Grow

This website is the online home of Dudley Division, part of West Mercia CountyMidlands Region and GirlguidingUK, the leading UK charity for girls and young women.

Girlguiding Dudley Division lies in the heart of the Black Country and takes in the areas of Sedgley, Lower Gornal, Upper Gornal, Dudley, Oakham, Netherton and parts of Cradley Heath, Tividale and Rowley Regis.

The Division was formally in Worcestershire County until West Mercia was formed in 1974, incorporating parts of Staffordshire, Birmingham and Worcestershire. Hence, the three links in our County badge, which also represents the chainmaking industry which was a big part of our industrial history.

We have 58 units spread across the Division made up of Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Rangers, Young Leaders, Adult Leaders, Volunteers and Trefoil Guild.

Each unit is run by a dedicated team of trained voluntary leaders and helpers who deliver a wide and varied programme of activities. Guiding is a girl only space, where girls and young women can have lots of fun, gain life skills, make friends and make a difference to their communities. Girlguiding Dudley Division is a place for girls and young women to grow strong, build confidence and give members and volunteers a chance to discover their potential and reach for it.

Our leaders are empowering young woman across the region giving them the skills and confidence to succeed in life.
